JO 407: Industrial Metal Fab, Inc., located in South Bend, currently has an opening for a Plant or Operations Manager. IMF is a third-generation steel plate fabricator/machine shop employing approximately 30 employees (20-hourly/10-salaried) in a family environment. Looking for a “hands-on” individual with the following capabilities:
1) Ability to Read/Interpret Blueprints
2) Maintain and Repair Equipment/Property/Facility
3) Create “Job Process Sheets” for Shop/Production Personnel from Customers’ Blueprints
4) Ensure IOSHA/OSHA/Safety Compliance
5) Basic 2-Axis Programming for Shape-Cutting Machines
6) Working Knowledge and First-Hand Experience in MIG Welding
Ideal candidate would have started on the shop floor running machinery or welding in a manufacturing environment (Tool & Die Shop, Welding Shop, Machine Shop, Fabricator, Sheet Metal Shop, heavy industrial equipment manufacturing, etc.) and is now ready to take that next step into management. Need an individual that is not afraid to roll up his/her sleeves/get his/her hands dirty. Must be versatile and flexible in time management, maintain a shop floor presence and coexist, communicate & manage hourly fabrication and machine shop employees. A knowledge of welding is a must and the stronger the candidate’s ability to read blueprints the better. Basic math (Geometry) skills would also be beneficial. This is a salaried position with annual performance bonuses and excellent benefits including two pensions (401K with a 3% company match and a defined benefit pension completely funded by the company) and paid family health insurance.
PA485: Financial executive with broad experience in manufacturing and extensive experience at the CFO and executive management levels allowing for in-depth international exposure to a variety of topics including acquisition and divestiture activity. Areas of expertise include financial analysis, cost accounting, treasury management, FX and commodity hedging (natural gas, electricity, metals, and agriculture), risk/insurance management, benefits (DC/DB/NQ retirement plans as well as self-insured medical plans), and all aspects of corporate financial management. Early career started in cost accounting clerk role but advanced over time to positions of increasing authority such as senior cost accountant, corporate controller, director of financial analysis, finance director, and CFO. Additionally, have been responsible for overseeing legal affairs and have experience with union negotiations.
